The boys are on "Winter Break" from school. Their last day was Friday, the 19th and they don't go back until January 5th. Of course Mr. Man and I still have to work and Lady Bug still has preschool (except for the holidays in there of course), so we had to arrange daycare for the boys.
The after-school program that they usually go to was offering sessions during this time, but it isn't a full day or the full week. My dear MIL offered to watch the boys (I say offered, but in reality we begged her) so what we did was this morning dropped them off at grandma's (which is 40 minute drive in the opposite direction from our work) but they will stay the night with her and grandpa tonight. We will pick them up Tuesday evening after we get off work.
Mr. Man has Christmas Eve off so he will be with them all day, then I have Christmas day and the day after off. Of course we are all home together over the weekend, then Sunday night my SIL (who lives an hour away) is taking all 3 kiddos to spend 2 nights with her. She is so crafty and cooks and bakes and she enjoys having them there with her. The kids have so much fun whenever they stay with her. It should be a good time for all and should make the winter break a little interesting, but this momma is so sad that the kiddos are going to be gone.
UPDATE:
Remember this post? Well, yesterday we fulfilled his request (although it isn't ALL he will be getting it was a very nice gift for him!) We arranged it about a week and a half ago and kept it a secret this whole time. Mr. Man kept teasing Lefty that he was going to find one of his presents soon. I caught Lefty looking in closets and under beds just to see if he could figure out where his present was. You should have seen the look on his face when we told him yesterday morning that she was coming for waffles! He giggled and then of course started bouncing off the walls with excitement! We served waffles, bacon, fresh fruit, applesauce, juice and milk. We had a really good time! I think it meant a lot to Lefty!

What a nice surprise! I don't know what I would say to my son's teacher for an entire breakfast!!! I'm sure he kept the conversation going.
I hope you have a great Christmas even though your kids will be in and out.
