A couple of years ago we started a tradition of watching The Polar Express movie on the night we put up our tree (and since we use an artificial tree we can do it early December). Then we watch it periodically throughout the month of December. In January, when we take down the Christmas decorations, we put away the movie also until next year.
Every year a local mall has these giant snowglobes on display. They usually contain movie scenes, like one year was the Chronicles of Narnia. You can walk through some of the globes and then Santa is close by. It is just a really cool thing to do.
This year the Snow globe display is The Polar Express! How cool is that? So we decided to go walk the display and then go home to watch the movie! There were so many people I couldn't get any pictures, but the snow globes were so fun! The last one we walked through was "snowing" (little foam pieces or something) and they got stuck in my hair! I couldn't get them to come out! LOL!
When we got home, I popped popcorn and we had hot chocolate. We all sat in our jammies with the fire going. It was just perfect! I love family time!
