One of my goals (the list was long, by the way!) for 2008 was to be prompt in mailing out birthday cards and getting cards to everyone! Now, keep in mind I come from a family of 6 and we all have kids. Plus my husband comes from a family of 5, but being 13 years older than me and being the second to the youngest in his family there are lots of nieces and nephews and even lots of great-nieces and great-nephews to keep track of!
In January I only missed one of our niece's birthday -- she is in her early 20's so I figured she would have been more surprised that I remembered anyway and she likely did not even notice I did not mail a card! All of the little kids (15 and younger) that had birthdays in January received thier cards in plenty of time thankyouverymuch!
I have already purchased, signed and sealed all of the cards for February and they are patiently waiting to be mailed --in plenty of time of course! I even purchased, signed and sealed a Valentine's Day card for a friend of ours who is in a nursing home (I try to send her a card once a week or at least once every other week!)
