This Sunday was the first time that our new children's ministry at church had "Kids Church". The woman heading it up did an amazing job and thought of all the little details! It turned out great.
I stayed in the big room to help keep kids "reigned in". Since it was Easter they did puppet skits, a video segment and songs. We had all the ages in there, except for the nursery kids. All the kids loved it. I think it will be a lot of fun.
Each week we will be doing kids worship with all ages (except nursery of course) and then the kids will be dismissed to their own classes. The children's minister recently purchased new curriculum so that essentially all ages will be learning the same story (at their own levels of course). I think this will be cool so that parents can go home and have discussions about what was learned!
I am super excited about working in this ministry!
