Today is the last day with the current nanny. We have enjoyed her enthusiasm and the love for the kids this summer (despite the slip-n-slide in my bathroom) so we wanted to do something special for her. We took her out to dinner and gave her some thank you cards and of course we tossed in something that every college student needs, a grocery store gift card!
We will miss her very much and look forward to her coming to visit us at Christmas!
So tomorrow our niece will watch them -- the kids love going to her house and playing with her kids. (bad news for me is that I get to drive the 45 minutes to her house twice tomorrow!)
Friday I will take the day off and spend it with the kids as one last "whoo-rahh" before school starts.
*mama is weeping again about her babies growing up**
