August 25th is our big day! Each new school year is one big fat reminder that my babies aren't babies anymore and they are growing up. **mama weeps**
Since we moved into our new house, the boys will be starting a new school this year. In addition to that trauma, Lady Bug will be starting preschool **mama weeps**
I know she isn't off to the big K (kindergarten) yet, but it is still hard on me. She is my youngest. My baby. My baby is growing up! She will be in a preschool/daycare at a church near our house. She met her teacher and is very excited. I will drop her off at 8:30 or so on my way to work. Then Mr. Man will pick her up on his way home from work, about 5:10-5:15. She is very excited about the whole thing.
As for the boys: Spirit is starting 2nd grade and Lefty starts 1st grade. There is an Open House/Meet the Teacher event on Friday (22nd) and due to some daycare conflicts I will be taking the day off from work that day and plan to be at the Open House first thing. I am hoping we can bump into some other kids that will be in their class.
We started this week rescheduling the kids: you know how it is, in the summer you're up late and meal times get moved around (earlier or later or sometimes not at all!). So we are putting the kids to bed a little earlier each night this week and trying to get meal times back to where they will need to be for school hours (you know, breakfast served and done by 7:30 AM and dinner served and done by 6:30 PM). By Sunday night we are hoping to be back on track.

School crept up on us this year, and I made the mistake of NOT getting back on schedule. 6:30 comes waaaaay too early for an unprepared 6 year old. And Mom pays the price.
Can I send Ro yet??? Pleeeze! LOL
Hang in there weepy mama!
A little something to cheer you up over at "my place"!
I'm so not ready to go back to "school" hours. We have another 1 1/2 weeks - school doesn't start until Sept. 2 here. Abby is DYING to find out who her teacher is.
