Tag! I'm It! (Updated)

I was tagged by Forever Folding Laundry for 7 Random things about me, this was harder to do than I thought! So here goes nothin':

1. I have a fairly large red birth mark on my right knee and everyone always asks if it is a burn when I wear shorts or a skirt. My brother has a daughter with a similar birth mark, also on her right knee.
2. I always wanted to be a teacher, my mother wanted me to be a lawyer so I started in the legal field during college and haven't left. I am not a lawyer though. Sorry mom.
3. I love 80's music!
4. I love old movies, like Singing in the Rain, The Sound of Music, The Music Man, etc.
5. I love to eat peanut butter by the spoonful, but dipping carrot sticks into it is good too!
6. I am blessed to have not one, but two parents who went gray in their late teens-early twenties so because of this I dye my hair on a regular basis so that I don't look like Mrs. Clause (as in Mrs. Santa Clause!) with my white hair! Thanks mom and dad!
7. Last, but not least I can not walk by a sale without stopping (and probably buying too). The bright colored SALE signs make my heart skip a beat!

My dear friend (who knows way too much about me and could tell you all some of my worst habits!) tagged me for a meme. I don't do these often, because, well, I am a pretty boring person!


But here it goes:


1. Where were you 10 years ago? In September of 1998, I was living in a tiny apartment that was just a few blocks from my boyfriend (whom I am now married to). I was working at a law firm as a receptionist. My life was fairly boring at the time. I was a big crafter back then, doing something crafty every evening after work! Boy have times changed!


2. What is on today's To Do List? Get the kids off to school. Head to work. Meet a friend for lunch. Mail a box of clothes to my mom (I cleaned out my closet!) Back to work for awhile. Head home to fix dinner.


3. What would you do if you were a billionaire? I would pay off our debts. Get the kids college funds set up and a trust fund for them to get after they turn 21. Possibly buy a new house, although I like this one so much, so maybe just do some remodeling. And then there would be the clothes and shoes shopping I would need to do!

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN BLOGGIN? Since September 2007

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO START A BLOG AND WHO ARE YOUR MENTORS? I actually was surfing the net one day looking for some new craft ideas and I stumbled upon this crafty little post on Scribbit. This site has become one of my faves! I check her site almost daily, she is a funny, creative, wise mommy to 4 children. Her stories have made me cry, laugh and think -- sometimes all in one story! So, after reading her blog daily for awhile, I started poking around at some of the commenter's on her blog and it was downhill from there! I was officially addicted. Pretty soon I wanted my own blog so I could share our family fun and frustrations.

ARE YOU TRYING TO MAKE MONEY ON-LINE OR JUST DOING IT FOR FUN? I only do this for fun! It is a great way to catch up on friends and their families and for them to catch up on me and my family!

WHAT THREE (3) THINGS DO YOU LOVE ABOUT BEING ONLINE?

1. I love that I can get online at my convenience and read/write to anyone anywhere!
2. I love that there are so many neat and interesting people online.
3. I love that I can find long lost friends (or they can find you!)

WHAT THREE THINGS DO YOU STRUGGLE WITH ON-LINE?

1. I am addicted!
2. I shop too much!
3. I hate that I have to be so careful because of all the "bad people" in the world who steal identities and lie, etc!

1. I love iced Chai tea and drink a lot of it!

Lisa over at Life as I know it tagged me for a meme to share 7 Weird or Random Things About Myself.
So here it goes.....

1. I have a tattoo on my hip that I got when I was 21. I regret that I did it. I regreted it almost as quickly as I did it!
2. I have pierced ears and haven't worn earrings in almost 7 years. I stopped wearing them when I had my first baby and he yanked on one. Now I am too scared (too wimpy) to try to put some in!
3. The first time I met my husband he irritated me. I met him at a friend's house. I was supposed to be picking her up to take her to a BBQ (ironically the BBQ was at HIS parents house) and he was working on her deck and we ended up being late to the BBQ because he was taking his sweet time on her deck. It irritated me that he knew she had to leave and was dilly-dallying around!! He later chatted my ear off at the BBQ and we really hit it off!
4. When I was 8 1/2 months pregnant with Lady Bug I was in a roll over car accident and thankfully I suffered NO injuries, not even a scratch. It did send me into early labor so I spent time in the hospital while they attempted to get my contractions to stop.
5. Between Lefty and Lady Bug I delivered a still born which was the most horrific thing I have ever had to go through, but at the same time I feel like such a stronger woman because of it!
6. I used to wear a size 5 1/2 - 6 shoe until I started having babies and now my foot is a size 7 1/2 - 8!
7. I always wanted to be an elementary school teacher but never pursued that! Some days I regret THAT decision too!
