Our LONG weekend in review

I love getting the extra day off from work/school to just hang out. We had a great weekend!

Friday night, Mr. Man and I had a date night. We went to one of our favorite little places and got TERRIBLE service so we left after only getting our drinks (it took her 20 minutes to get those to us) so we decided to leave there and go  to another favorite little restaurant. We had some wonderful Mexican food (just so happens I had eaten at this joint for lunch that day too!).

Saturday was errand day and then I had a birthday dinner party for a friend of mine while the kids and JR hung out.

Sunday we went to church then headed off to a farm that is about 2 hours from our house. We picked fresh apples to make applesauce and apple jelly.

Monday was spent making the applesauce and jelly. We started at 9:00 am and didn't finish until about 8:30 pm. Then we spent another hour or so sweeping, mopping and scrubbing the kitchen from our mess! Phew. That makes for a long day. I told my husband that we took "Labor" day literally and labored all day!

{Side note: It was Labor Day 13 years ago that I went to a BBQ at my now Mother-in-law's house and met my now husband!}
