Words her father was hoping not to hear

This morning Lady Bug woke up earlier than usual so she was laying in our bed while Mr. Man and I were getting ready. As I came out of the bathroom I saw Lady Bug with her arms around her dad's neck and giving him a raspberry kiss on his cheek.

awwww, isn't that cute?

Then, she dropped the bomb that about sent her father into a heart attack "I do that to my boyfriend all the time!"

Her father responded with:

"WHAT? Are you kidding me? What boyfriend? What is his name? Does your mom know about this? When did this start?"

I said: "Honey, she is three years old. I think she is talking about her play mate Joshua. It is harmless."

He looked at me wide-eyed and very confused as if I were making light of his little girl "dating".

I was about to try to console him again when she decided to help me by adding: "I have lots of boyfriends."

That really sent her father over the edge and now he is threatening to buy some firearms. Not to use of course, just to have in the house "just in case."

I am still trying to get him calmed down and bring him back to reality. I think we are almost there. He was just not prepared to hear those words for say, oh, another 15-20 years! **Mr. Man asked that I edit this to add... he hopes never to hear those words! hee hee*
