Kids...

I have been awake since 4:30 this morning. I got up to wake up Lefty to go potty and realized I was too late. I got him some dry pajamas, had him go potty and then put him in bed with us. I quickly realized my mind was racing too much and I wasn't going back to sleep so I got up. I stripped Lefty's bed and started the laundry. I folded a load from last night. I had some "me time" with my Bible and a cup of coffee. Then I played Scrabble online for a little bit.

Last night Lady Bug was wound up and wouldn't settle down for bed; she was in bed, just not going to sleep. She was kicking the wall, singing, and at point when I checked on her she was cleaning her room in the dark! Finally about 10:45 she either fell asleep or just got quiet so that I could but either way I was asleep about then. Let me just tell you that I need more than 5 1/2 hours sleep. I don't do well on such little sleep. I guess it will be an espresso kind of day for me!

Right now I am listening to the birds singing outside... what a lovely sound! I normally am slighted annoyed when the birds songs wake me up so early, but since I probably woke them up this morning I will sit and enjoy their loveliness. They really do have pretty songs, I'm not sure I ever noticed that before!

I am off now for more coffee and to just sit and enjoy this quiet house with beautiful music playing for me outside of my window as the sun starts to rise.
